I cannot say enough about Dr. Truban. We recently lost our English Bulldog “Pooter” and our pug... “Ro Ro”. The care and compassion he shows is incomparable. The phone call after Pooter passed meant a lot to myself and my husband. I wondered whether I made the right decision that weekend, but Dr. Truban reassured me that I did as heartbreaking as it was. The staff at Shenandoah Animal Hospital are absolutely wonderful. We moved from Shenandoah County... to Frederick County over 5 years ago, but we still take all of our animals here. It's very important to us to go to a place that we trust for the care of our fur babies. Several years ago we had an appointment with one of our dogs here and there was a huge snowstorm at the time. The lights kept going out. When the assistant asked Dr. Truban if they were gonna close for the day. His reply was I just can't in case someone has an emergency with ine of their animals we have to be here for them. Such a wonderful caring man.read more

We called this vet after our vet consistently kept dropping the ball on our dogs ear problem. They... actually examined our dogs ear, did an analysis of the build up in her ear and determined she had two types of bacteria in her ear and prescribed a strong steroid and medicated Met wash. Within ONE day of receiving this medication and this medicated wash for her ear, she was no longer whimpering and the build up in her ear has almost subsided completely. I am so thankful my boyfriend convinced me to try another vetenarian, otherwise my dog would still be suffering. We will be using this vet for now on for all of our animals. I am so thankful for the Shenandoah Animal Hospital that actually took time to examine my dog and diagnose the problem.read more

I’ve only used this office once so far but I’m impressed. I was dealing with a sick cat and like... everyone else, I was having difficulty making an appointment due to everyone being booked up. I usually deal with 7 Bends, another well known vet in Shenandoah county but they simply were not willing to budge on making time to check out my pet in a timely manner. After explaining my pets symptoms to Shenandoah Animal Hospital, the staff stated that they would make time and squeeze me in between two existing appointments due to how serious my cats symptoms were.They were able to get me in, examine and perform blood tests, and prescribe the necessary meds to take care of my sick pet. They now have a customer for life with me and I am extremely appreciative of what they did for my pet and I. They are very friendly and professional, their prices are reasonable and I highly recommend them.read more
